God is calling us to maintain our identity, that is being His children and witness to the world. We are to portray His image and bring His graces to every community we belong to. “If you can’t feed a hundred people, then, feed just one”, (St. Mother Teresa). From the beginning, God commanded us to love our neighbor as God loved us. Through this love God gifted us the capacity to evangelize and be an instrument to share our faith with our brothers and sisters in our community. We cannot separate and we should not only respond to God’s love in our personal life. We must always include an outward action to share His goodness with our neighbor.

Commitment in the mission

Like Peter, we are to proclaim Jesus as the Messiah and repeatedly confirm our love for Him despite being doubted and questioned (Jn 21:15-17). We are taught to be like Christ and bring Him to the people we live with every day. We are privileged to be part of God’s bigger mission. And our commitment to the mission is our immense response to God’s generosity in our community. We are called to embrace our mission of Building the Church of the Poor, realizing why loving and serving the poor is not only a duty but a privilege and a source of blessing. We are missionaries in our little ways. May we be truly a blessing to every community we belong to. We are part of a missionary church. May we continue our lives as missionaries of Christ, for Christ and with Christ.
